POLICIES


Our minimum dining age in the restaurant is 12 years old – our minimum age to enter the Champagne Lounge is strictly 21.

We require a deposit of £10 per head for tables of 5 or more.  A discretionary service charge will be added for a table of 6 diners and over.

Please note we have two tables that seat 8 people in the main restaurant and only one table of 10.

In order that we offer all our customers the best service, please ensure you arrive at the restaurant ready to be seated at the time of your reservation or earlier.  We operate specified sitting times for all reservations.  If you arrive late then we reserve the right to cancel your reservation or move you to a later seating time.  Deposits held will not be refunded for cancellation caused by late arrival.

Tables are allocated on the day by the restaurant and although we do everything we can to allocate a table in your preferred area of the restaurant we cannot always guarantee this.

CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICY

Cancellation or amendment of all bookings must be made by calling the reservation team on 01277 546474.

We require a minimum of 7 days’ notice for cancellation or amendments to bookings, failure to cancel or amend your booking before the required notice period will result in non-refund of your deposit.

The Fat Turk reservation team actively manage the restaurant bookings by checking attendance and confirming reservations, normally on the morning of the booking.  We reserve the right to cancel any bookings that are not confirmed.

REFUND

Our refund policy is to make the relevant refunds within 30 days.  The refund will be made by the same method of payment received.

December deposits are refundable only up to 4 weeks prior to the reservation.

THE LONG ROOM – PRIVATE DINING ROOM

Our Long Room is an exclusive private dining room which comfortably seats 22 diners (if you wish to book the long room then we operate a strict mixed group policy, if you arrive on the night having booked the long room and you are an all-male or all-female group then we will not be able to seat you and your deposit will not be refunded) – all bookings for this room are made through our reservations team.  If you wish to cancel your reservation for the Long Room, we require a minimum of 14 days’ notice.  Please note we are unable to refund your money if cancellation is less than 14 days.

FOOD ALLERGIES

Please advise your server of any allergens and although every effort is made we are not always able to prevent cross contamination.

BIRTHDAY CAKES

If you are celebrating a birthday please let your waiter know and we can offer a birthday dessert plate that will be the diners choice of dessert brought out on a specially designed Birthday plate with a celebration candle – this can be pre-ordered and is charged as the menu price.

UPSTAIRS CHAMPAGNE LOUNGE

Without exception, our Champagne Lounge is exclusive to diners only and is open on Friday and Saturday evenings offering a piano lounge and acoustic entertainment.  Strictly for over 21’s.

DOOR POLICY

Management reserve the right to refuse entry to any person or remove any person who in their opinion is causing a nuisance or disruption to other diners.  No refund will be offered to customers who are refused entry or rejected in such circumstances.

We have the right to refuse to serve you alcohol if we believe you to be drunk and disorderly.

The Fat Turk Restaurant operates a strict no drugs policy.

When leaving the premises, please keep the noise to a minimum out of respect for our residential neighbours.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND LOST PROPERTY

The Fat Turk Restaurant accepts no responsibility for any property left on the premises.

Personal belongings are left in the cloakroom at the owner’s risk and The Fat Turk Restaurant does not accept any liability for any loss or damage to such items.

Customers are advised to keep vulnerable items with them always.

Lost property will be kept for one month after which time it will be disposed of.

GIFT VOUCHERS TERMS & CONDITIONS

Vouchers can only be used for full payment, no change will be issued for any unused amount.  No cash alternative is available.

We regret that we cannot re-issue or refund lost, stolen, mislaid or damaged gift vouchers.

Gift vouchers will be subject to verification at time of presentation and we reserve the right not to accept any vouchers that have or appear to have been forged, damaged, defaced or otherwise tampered with. To deface a voucher will render it invalid.
